Useful Forms and Information

Parents are a valued part of our school community.  At Huby we have an ‘open door’ policy and welcome parents to communicate regularly with class teachers.  We ask that all parents, carers and visitors adhere to our Code of Conduct.

Parent View

As a parent of children at Huby School you are entitled to register on Ofsted’s ‘Parent View’ and share your views about the school.  Register and complete a questionnaire.  Don’t forget, you can update your questionnaire as often as you like!

Parents come into school regularly to join in with activities in each class and help out on school trips.  We hold regular information and curricular evenings and invite parents to celebrate the achievements of our children at class assemblies and school concerts.

Holidays in Term Time

Government regulations state that holidays during term-time will not be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances. If you wish to apply for leave of absence from school during term time please download an application form. This must be completed, signed and returned to school at least 21 days before the first date of the absence.

Request to Administer Medication in School

If you would like a member of staff to administer prescribed medication to your child during the school day, please
download the relevant form. This must be completed, signed by a parent/legal guardian and returned to school with the medication.  If more than one medication is to be given, please complete a separate form for each one.

The Healthy Child Team is a group of experienced qualified nurses and assistant practitioners who support young people aged 5 – 19 years and their families.  Parents who are concerned about their child’s health can contact the team on 01423 535376.
