We had a brilliant afternoon, working in teams from all year groups to create the tallest towers we could. The children could only use sellotape , newspaper and scissors to create their towers and they worked brilliantly, as teams, to create engineering masterpieces!
The winning team, ‘Silly Cheeseburgers’ built a tower that was 1.73m tall! In second place were the ‘Billy Bop Towers’with a tower of 1.66m and in third place were the ‘Team Towers’ with a tower of 1.64m.
Special mentions go to Aidan Coakley, who won the prize for being the most enterprising and innovative engineer and to Edith Slater who led and judged the entire afternoon and was a wonderful young leader.
Well done to everyone!!
