At Huby Church of England (VC) Primary School, we use the Little Wandle handwriting programme to develop confident, fluent and legible handwriting. The programme provides a clear and consistent approach to letter formation, joins, pencil control and presentation, building children’s skills progressively as they move through the school.

We recognise that children develop handwriting skills at different rates. Once the Little Wandle programme has been completed, any children who require further support will receive additional, targeted handwriting provision to help them develop greater fluency, confidence and independence.

Through our approach, we encourage every child to take pride in their presentation and to let their light shine through the care they take in their work.
