Welcome to Huby Church of England Primary School — a place where every child matters, every child belongs and every child is encouraged to shine.

We are proud to be a small, welcoming Church of England school at the heart of our community. We want Huby to be a place where children are excited to come to school each morning, where they feel known and valued, and where they have the confidence to be themselves.

Our Christian vision, Let your Light Shine For All To See- Shining Together Through Courage, Connection and Curiosity, is at the heart of everything we do. It is not simply words on a page; it is something we strive to see in the everyday life of our school.

We encourage our children to have the courage to try something new, make mistakes and persevere when things are difficult. We nurture their curiosity, encouraging them to ask questions, explore ideas and develop a genuine love of learning. And we help them understand the importance of connection — with one another, with our community, with the natural world and with something bigger than themselves.

As a Church of England school, our Christian character is woven through school life. We create time to pause, reflect and consider how our choices and actions can make a difference. Through collective worship, our curriculum and our relationships with one another, we explore what it means to live with our Christian values.

We want our children to flourish in all that they are, not simply in what they can achieve academically. We want them to discover the things they love, recognise their strengths, develop their talents and understand that their voice matters.

Learning at Huby is about more than remembering facts. We want children to be curious about the world, to make connections between what they learn and their own lives, to think deeply, solve problems, be creative and develop the knowledge and skills they need for their future. Our curriculum is ambitious, inclusive and designed to open doors — helping children to discover possibilities they may never have imagined.

We are fortunate to have an incredibly committed and caring team who know our children well and genuinely want the very best for them. We are also incredibly proud of the strong relationships we build with families and the wider community. We believe that children flourish when school, home, church and community work together, sharing in their successes and supporting them through their challenges.

There is a real sense of belonging at Huby. We celebrate each other's successes, look after one another and recognise that, when we work together, we shine more brightly.
