At Huby Church of England (VC) Primary School, Design and Technology gives children opportunities to design, make, evaluate and improve purposeful products, developing their creativity, practical skills and problem-solving abilities. Through a progressive curriculum, children explore a range of materials, techniques, tools and processes, while considering how design can respond to real-life needs and challenges.

Design and Technology enables children to let their light shine by developing their own ideas, taking creative risks and persevering when things do not go to plan. Through designing and making, children develop Courage to experiment and refine their ideas, Connection through collaboration and consideration of the needs of others, and Curiosity about how things work and how they might be improved.
